No difference apart from the fact that Steam gets a 30% cut from the game sale, while GOG belongs to CDPR so they get the full 100% game price. A GOG purchase means all of the $ goes to CDPR (it's their store). On Steam, Steam gets a cut of it. It's the consumer's choice, though of where to buy it.
