WebNov 8, 2024 · FontForge allows you to create and edit fonts in many formats: OpenType, TrueType, AAT, PostScript, Multiple Master, CID-Keyed, SVG, and various bitmap formats. It isn't a regular Mac application. It has been in development since 2001 as a UNIX application, so don’t expect it to look and behave like a normal Mac application. WebIt seems that when FontForge imports the SVGs, it scales the image to the size of the glyph being created - this isn't really the behaviour I want, as my images are already scaled appropriately. I'm going to need to get hold of the glyphs bounding box and scale the resulting geometries using fontforge's inbuilt affine matrix package psMat.
