WebJan 4, 2015 · 384 Answers The 3rd to OD shift solenoid is bad. You have to remove the transmission pan to replace it. While in there, I would take out the other 2 and thoroughly clean them with spray brake or carb cleaner. You will be amazed how much crud will come out. You may have some other problems too.

Manually manipulate the loose cable until you can get the key to remove so you can lock the car until you are ready to have the repair performed.
