The most important risk factor for the development of EH is chronic exposure to unopposed estrogen. WebComplex hyperplasia, especially with atypia, is related to coexistent malignancy or the risk of development to malignant changes (75% of patients) when untreated. The more atypical the cellular structure, the greater the chance of malignancy; with out atypia, 25% of hyperplasia will progress and 50% will persist.
