WebbThe leading case is Karseal Corp. v. Richfield Oil Corp., 221 F.2d 358 (9th Cir. 1955). The Karseal Corporation manufactured automobile polish under the trade name "Wax Seal" and sold it to enfranchised but independently owned distributors. The latter in turn resold the product to independent service stations.
