Proportion trend test
The trend test will have higher power than the chi-squared test when the suspected trend is correct, but the ability to detect unsuspected trends is sacrificed. This is an example of a general technique of directing hypothesis tests toward narrow alternatives. The trend test exploits the suspected effect direction to increase power, but this does not affect the sampling distribution of the test statistic under the null hypothesis. Thus, the suspected trend in effects is not an assump… Webb5 mars 2016 · prop.test (x=c (122,99), n=c (600,400), correct=F) 2-sample test for equality of proportions without continuity correction data: c (122, 99) out of c (600, 400) X-squared = 2.7194, df = 1, p-value = 0.09914 alternative hypothesis: two.sided 95 percent confidence interval: -0.097324375 0.008991042 sample estimates: prop 1 prop 2 0.2033333 …

Webb7 mars 2024 · Perform a Cochran Armitage test for trend in binomial proportions across the levels of a single variable. This test is appropriate only when one variable has two levels and the other variable is ordinal. The two-level variable represents the response, and the other represents an explanatory variable with ordered levels. WebbRisk ratio at time t is R R ( t) = p 1 ( t) / p 2 ( t). After having defined new variable for risk ratio over time, you can use different tools for assessing the trend. You can plot it, use regression, but also time-series analysis tools, changepoint analysis etc. depending on your needs. You can even use some multivariate model so to try to ...
